DECT WIRELESS HEADSETS
Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting EPOS’ stand at the Digital Transformation EXPO and eagerly looked at their latest headsets.
There are many options and styles when it comes to choosing a business headset, some finding that a boomless ear cupped version will better suit a hybrid working style and some opting for Bluetooth – for their simple connectivity options.
The new IMPACT D series from EPOS | Sennheiser combines wireless portability, great sound and enhanced security. One benefit of DECT connectivity over Bluetooth is an increased range which can go up TO 180 feet. Background sound is Ultra Noise Cancelling and, moreover, the IMPACT D headsets are particularly lightweight (84g) and easy to use. Battery life is improved upon from previous models with a standby time of 100 hours with 12 hours of talk-time. It connects to PC ( plug and play ) via a DECT dongle or, alternatively direct to a system telephone.
The IMPACT D is available in two main options : Binaural ( Two eared ) and Monaural ( one eared ) : the IMPACT D 30 and IMPACT D 10 – each of which is available as either USB or Phone Connectivity.
These headsets really meet all the criteria one could ask for in a headset, namely sound quality, noise cancellation, range, ease of use, comfort and durability.
